Politico reports a group of "veterans across Massachusetts" has started work to convince City Councilor Ed Flynn, and a Navy vet himself, to run for mayor next year. It has an official PR spokesman, who now has his own PR firm but who, Politico notes, is "an alum" of Regan Communications, which is run, of course, by George Regan, who wants to "save our city" from those dreaded left-wingers like Michelle Wu.
Cathy Vitale, who hopes to improve next year on her dead-last finish in the 2023 at-large council race, decided to park in the Tremont Street bike lane along the Common Friday night, then refused to move when a cop asked her to - and when he went to write her a parking ticket he discovered she had a suspended license. Now that he has a North End pied a terre, Josh Kraft is sounding more and more like he'll run for mayor against Michelle Wu next year, CommonWealth Beacon reports. Oh, not publicly yet, but CommonWealth Beacon reports Kraft started dishing on the campaign he'll launch this fall to a friend at a Back Bay coffeehouse - where somebody else sitting nearby took it all in and then re-dished to the site.

Josh Kraft, of the New England Patriots Krafts, is suddenly being touted as as possible candidate for Boston mayor in 2025, because, well, why not? CommonWealth Beacon reports he already has a bunch of ties to Boston, including a long turn as president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. He's a past Charlie Baker donor and gave money to several council candidates supported by Trump backer and New Balance Chairman Jim Davis, who doesn't like the incumbent.
