Ok I am old.. first thing that came to mind was the 1970s era Woolworth logo..

But wasnt THAT logo for Group W, for "Westinghouse" not "Woolworth"

Yes, but if you were THAT old, that's what it would have brought to mind.

It's like a mashup of Westinghouse and Ace Hardware

I like it

old one is just too cluttered and coat of arms are just nonsensical

I think they are more so upset that it’s a blatant rip off of the Desktop Metal logo

Are they a school or an office supply company?

DeVry Institute or some other proprietary school chain?

As far as I can tell, Wentworth is still an independent nonprofit. From what I hear, they are doing pretty well in their niche. The current president is retiring this spring, after serving 13 years, and the choice of the new president is to be announced next month.

Of course, the logo is tacky enough to look like one of those career schools. It actually reminds me of the logo of the for-profit "Art Institutes". According to Wikipedia, they used to have over 50 campuses around the country, of which just 8 campuses in the south survive. The Art Institute in Boston closed in 2017.

Former president already left, and new president has been in place for several months now,

What's the matter with this one?

It doesn’t look like the motion W. UW Madison will come after you.

The new logo looks tacky and dated.

At least it's better than the new MIT one.
