Dorchester man wasn't shooting blanks, now he's in the hospital

Live Boston reports police and EMTs responded to Rockwell Street, off Washington Street, after a man apparently shot himself in his own penis around 2 a.m.

Police found the man sitting on the steps in front of his apartment, but found a blood trail leading to his apartment. The discharge appeared accidental, police said.

I don't see anything about that in the article. I see no reason to assume this isn't one of those law-abiding gunowners that we've been told will always use guns responsibly for the safety and protection of others.
