Man charged with shooting gun early this morning at Bird and Ceylon streets in Dorchester
Boston Police report officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Bird and Ceylon street around 2:25 a.m. arrived in time to see a man with his arm raised towards the sky while holding a gun.
As the officers approached, the suspect attempted to get into the parked motor vehicle while two other males who had been standing with the suspect began to walk away from the scene. As the officers attempted to detain all three parties, a group of females began to shout at the officers while circling around them, creating an unsafe environment.
Additional patrol and gang-unit officers arrived and restored order, letting the original officers on scene remove "a partially loaded 9mm Taurus V2C handgun" from Andrew Crenshaw's waistband - after a "brief struggle."
Crenshaw, 29, of Roxbury, was charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.
Innocent, etc.

Circled the cops?
Unless said ladies were themselves armed, in the words of Christopher Moltisanti, "Where do you get your balls?"
If there's anything I've learned on the internet,
it's that there's a certain subset of women who rely on "what are you gonna do, hit me" right up until someone actually does. After that, they'll either crumple or unleash Hell.
Worldstar.
I always forget that one
I always forget that one block north of Quincy is Ceylon and not Alexander.
