Man was speeding around Dorchester with a gun loaded with 21 rounds, police say
Boston Police report gang-unit officers who initially stopped a driver at Freeport and Kimball streets for speeding in a car with excessive window tinting shortly before noon yesterday arrested him after they found a gun loaded with 21 bullets - and an adapter that turned the gun into an automatic weapon.
Jhaysen Carrion-Grullon, 21, of Dorchester, was charged with possession of a machine gun, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm, police say.
The firearm was determined to be a Glock 22 with a high Capacity Feeding device loaded with twenty-one (21) rounds of ammunition. Additionally, the firearm was equipped with an aftermarket accessory that converted the firearm from semi-automatic firing to automatic.
