At one point, he looked behind to see if Animal Control was gaining on him.
Liz Robson had a roadrunner's-eye view for a few hours today of a coyote running around Back Street along Storrow Drive for several hours today, successfully evading Boston Animal Control, which apparently didn't have any fresh paint with which to create a tunnel on the side of the building to stun him.
After this video he ran down Marlborough to Berkeley. A friend and I followed and gave up when it appeared he was headed for the Public Garden. I went back to Fairfield and Back St to pick up my dog walking client and within that half hour he was back to the exact same spot!
In my dog walking travels we saw him a bunch more times as he kept slipping thru ACO's fingers. Last I heard/saw he had crossed Comm Ave and was seen taking a left into an alley between Newbury and Boylston - that was 3:05 that I reported that sighting to AC. Quite the interesting afternoon in sleepy Back Bay!!

Leave him alone. Let him be. He’s after your chickens, but you don’t have many in the city. So leave him alone. Let him be.

This ended with the coyote falling in a hole that unexpectedly opened in the ground. The digger of the hole, an anthropoid rabbit, explained that he was attempting to get to Bora Bora but suspects he may have made a wrong turn somewhere in New Mexico.

Minor Correction: Animal Control doesn’t have emergency lights on their vehicles.
Those Baby Blues belong to the BPD. It’s also illegal in Massachusetts to relocate a wild animal unless it is injured— a law that the BPD ought to be aware of themselves.

Reminds me of a scene from "The Littlest Hobo" except this 'is' a coyote and not a dog. Loved that show.
Damn, I'm old.
