It looks like a green frog to me, not a bullfrog

Lithobates clamitans melanota. From the photo, it seems to have dorsolateral ridges, which the bullfrog lacks.
The green frog's call sounds like a banjo string being plucked, although I don't believe they'll be calling this early in the season.

Garter snakes are no threat to people. But frogs got to be on the lookout.
