Oh, right, because the restaurant owes Boston $822,000 in back property taxes, making it the largest delinquent on the books. Regan says it was a simple "bookkeeping issue," won't happen again and the bill will be paid in full by the end of the week.
According to the city assessor's office, the restaurant is supposed to be paying roughly $550,000 a year in property taxes, which would seem to indicate the "bookkeeping issue" has been going on for more than a year now (interesting side fact: The city values the actual restaurant at only $212,000, but the land it sits on - and its parking lot - at $24.3 million).

I feel like the building

I feel like the building itself would be worth more then a little less then 212,000 if it were to be put in a suburban parking lot even. Its a really nice building, although maybe its just the waterfront feel that makes it seem so nice.
Interesting ...

The city assesses the Anthony's Pier 4 building as being worth slightly less than the building occupied by Vintage in West Roxbury. Now, granted, that's a much newer structure (four years old, maybe?). But it's also a lot smaller. And it's on Rte. 1 (OK, OK, the VFW Parkway), not right on the water. Location isn't everything, I guess. Then again, its parking lot is worth bupkes compared to Anthony's.

The 24 million dollar parking lot, I almost feel like it should be paved in gold and instead of white lines they should have diamonds marking parking spots...
