Free for all: So a lieutenant governor and a DINO walk into a bar ...

The Herald's Kimberly Atkins breaks the news that one of the Healey Three, Sen. Steven Baddour of Methuen, made secret committments to the Healey campaign to help her out should his man, Tom Reilly, lose the primary. Atkins reports on her blog that she came to work this morning to find three more voicemails confirming her account.

On Blue Mass. Group, Charley on the MTA wonders what Healey promised Baddour in return.

Dan Kennedy marvels at the ditch Baddour just drove himself into:

... Baddour has guaranteed himself the worst of both worlds: outcast status no matter who wins. Good going, Senator.

Oh, yeah, debate tonight in the Detroit of the East, um, Springfield. Starts at 7 p.m. on Channel 2 and NECN.

Mass. GOP News predicts a treat for Republicans, and wonders if Mihos will go completely apeshit and physically attack Healey.

Steve Nadis has had enough of Mr. Rogers ads from Patrick - he wants a caveman, or, at the least, a Governator.

Speaking of TV ads, Mark Mills of WGBH's Greater Boston writes the Healey campaign never bothered to ask the show if it could use footage that appeared in that Willy Horton Lite ad. Not that the show can do anything about it, though, he adds.

And speaking of that ad in particular, Matt Margolis on Hub Politics says it must be right on because Democrats are whining about it.

Andy is loving the way Hub Politics keeps calling Mihos a Patrick sock puppet:

... feel bad for the boys of Beverly because their candidate is a hollow suit with no new ideas to bring to the table. That has got to be rough.

The Optimistic Patriot writes that Democrats are so craven, they would rather let Massachusetts residents die this winter than let Romney/Healey get any credit for funding flu efforts.

Ed Prisby marvels at Healey's spendometer:

Does the spend-o-meter come with a scale? Cuz there's a fat lady over here warming up her voice and asking to sing...

David Weinberger doesn't mind that Christy Mihos grabbed kerryhealy.com, except that Mihos only did something boring with it, i.e., redirct it to his own campaign site:

... If Mihos were doing something fun or amusing with the typosquat, I wouldn't care. But just redirecting to your own homepage? It's an unworthy trick.
