Again with the bag searches on the T

Amy vows to not let the roving T inspectors off easy:

... Fuck off, Mitt Romney. Do we really have to get into the "no probable cause" T searches again? This means I'm going to have to start carrying around Planned Parenthood literature, lubricant, gay porn, a large package of AA batteries, and a vibrator again when I ride the T. If they're going to violate my civil liberties, I'm going to make them sorry they bothered. ...

Poor Mac Daniel. The Globe transportation reporter could only sigh:

... More detailed coverage to come in tomorrow's Globe. ...

Since, of course, His Mittness announced his new policy to a real newspaper, or, at least, one more likely to help get him elected president (next week, he will announce his plan to re-open the I-90 Connector in the Des Moines Register).

Adam Reilly writes:

... Spurned Bay Staters can take solace in this, however: the Times story didn't mention Mitt's presidential hopes. What a shame. ...

The Outraged Liberal predicts:

... How much do you want to bet that Mitt and an entourage of cameras will be present at one of the next "random" checks. Just a reminder Mitt, it costs $1.25 to get on the subway right now, at least until the "fee increase" in January.

And the Charlie Tickets goes arrow side up. ...

Chad Parenteau wonders why the governor waited until after Red Sox season to announced the plan:

... Heaven forbid the MBTA actually have to work at this. What if, for instance, the MBTA accidentally picked one of Fenway's five hundred scalpers to bag check? Why that might have meant that a police officer would actually have to talk to one of those annoying clowns that litter Kenmore Square in the summer. ...

Spatch imagines a call to the "See Something Say Something" hotline.

Anything that raises the general level of fear and loathing helps the Republicans.

This is a joke as a security measure - as if a bomber couldn't ride in on the Green Line, or just walk to the next station where they weren't searching bags!

I bet it was Reed Hilman out on Washington Street shooting at busses just to make the current administration's fear mongering look justified! Wait, random shootings might make them look weak on crime.

Give me a few minutes, I bet we could come up with a great conspiricy theory here! Perhaps it was Democrats who favor stricter gun control laws?
