In training to replace John DePetro?

Carpundit has had enough of the Herald's endless series on the guy with the stapled stomach:

Speaking of DePetro, fat people and media types, Mats Tolander notes the Boston Herald editorially praised 'RKO's decision to can him - which gets him to pondering a possible whirligig of seemingly unrelated events - including the firing - that could end in noted fat-o-phobe Howie Carr being fired from the Herald. I couldn't possibly do the theory justice by paraphrasing it, so just go read Mats's post.

The Outraged Liberal doesn't believe for a minute that WRKO really fired DePetro for his Ross cracks; not when Carr has been uttering the same sort of thing for years. Instead, he says, 'RKO management just found it a convenient lie with which to cover up the fact that DePetro had to go because his ratings sucked.
