New York developers plan to turn two former Suffolk University buildings into condos
By adamg on Wed, 01/06/2016 - 9:45pm
JDMD Owner, LLC, owned by three New Yorkers, has filed a letter of intent with the BRA to convert buildings at 33 and 61 Temple St. into 75 condominiums.
JDMD paid Suffolk $43.5 million for the two buildings last year as Suffolk moves to consolidate its classroom and office space.
Because JDMD filed its letter of intent on Dec. 31, it will not be subject to the more stringent affordable-housing regulations now in effect.

This is the same development project that was mentioned in Sundays Globe about the Somerville lawyer who went from a nobody to city hall player because of his connections to top brass: https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2016/01/02/mails-show-lawyer-leveragin... Power to him I guess. Get that money
Will this close or otherwise affect the C. Walsh Theatre
which Suffolk University owns on the same block?
