State Police report a Framingham couple's baby couldn't wait - he was born in the tandem-trailer parking lot just past the Allston/Cambridge toll plaza at 7:35 p.m.
State Police say the woman, in labor, and her husband pulled into the lot at 7:07 pm. and called 911.
Trooper Joseph Hilton was the first to arrive with Lieutenant William Nee shortly behind. They began rendering aide to the woman as she was in active labor.
Boston EMS arrived a short time later. At approximately 7:35 p.m., before the woman could be transported, a baby boy was delivered in the ambulance. They were then transported to Mass General Hospital.

Probably the last...
Probably the last baby born at that toll plaza, since it's slated for demolition soon.
What would the couple have done if the switch to all-electronic tolls had already occurred?
theyd have had a faster commute to the hospital

It happened in the tandem
It happened in the tandem trailer parking lot, not at the toll booth.
