Bank policies disallowing hats & sunglasses
My bank has signage at the door asking that all customers remove their hats and sunglasses on entering. As soon as a teller sees anyone forgetting to do so, they should ask politely but loudly right away "SIR PLEASE REMOVE YOUR HAT THANK YOU". This draws immediate attention to the would-be robber as soon as he steps inside, taking away any element of surprise he might have hoped for.
Tellers are not well-paid (I used to be one ages ago) and it can be a tough job what with the potential risks and all. But I recall angering a stubborn motorcyclist who didn't want to remove his helmet one time. He was actually a regular customer who normally drove a car (and thus didn't wear a helmet). His "c'mon you KNOW who I am" was met with a "sure, NOW we do!" once he finally doffed the headgear.
Someone is going to identify those
nostrils.
