If you squint, you can see a Moderate Drought in Southwick. Lovely farms in the area.

The folks who put out the drought map cringe about their service being anything more than informative, as it is a modeled surface on a larger scale and not suitable for policy making purposes.

That said, the Drought Management Task Force met on Tuesday and the official word on drought status in the six regions of the Commonwealth should come out today or tomorrow.

I had to really look at that map to find the tiny patch of orange, but it's the Southwick "notch" that dips into Connecticut.
