The Boston Licensing Board votes tomorrow on whether to formally allow North End restaurateur Philip Frattaroli formally take over as manager of the Boston Public Market's bar.
Frattaroli will oversee a bar that, like the overall market, specializes in craft beers and other drinks with New England origins.
The Boston Public Market, whose vendors sell products grown or made in Massachusetts, will be open every day of the week starting July 18. Read more.

At 11 a.m. on Thursday, Gov. Baker and Mayor Walsh will cut the ribbon to officially open the Boston Public Market in the Hanover Street building that houses the Registry of Motor Vehicles and the Haymarket T stop - bringing produce, honey, fish, meat and other products from the farms, fishermen and artisans of New England. The city is moving ahead with it's plans to put a year-round, indoor, multiple independent vendor Public Market in Downtown Boston. Having lived in a city(Portland, ME) with a dedicated indoor market similar to the proposal for this one, I'll say, I can't be more excited to see this come to fruition.
The Globe reports Gov. Patrick has pledged $10 million for a year-round public market off the Greenway near the existing Haymarket - and not far from from Quincy Market, originally built as a public market.
It's proposed by the Boston Public Market Association.
