Live Boston reports somebody was shot in Malcolm X Park, along Martin Luther King Boulevard around 5:20 p.m. The homicide unit was called in just in case due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Boston Police report arresting two Canton residents - already facing drug charges in Quincy - on gun charges after last night's Martin Luther King Boulevard volleys that sent one bullet into a Kensington Street living-room wall and left three streets strewn with a total of 32 shell casings. Police have recovered some 30 shell casings on either side of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Kensington Street from a hail of gunfire around 9:15 p.m. Read more.

BPD officers responding to reports of gunfire along Martin Luther King Boulevard around 10:25 p.m. found shells or shell casings on both Mayfair Street, on the south side of the street and on the basketball courts in Malcolm X Park on the north side.

Live Boston reports that after the driver of a pickup truck sped away from an attempted traffic stop near BPD headquarters early this morning, officers pursuing him were told to stop chasing him, but the guy just kept going - until he apparently rolled over the pickup at MLK Boulevard and Warren Street, crashing into a traffic pole as the pickup burst into flames. Stanley Staco reports somebody opened fire outside the DCR pool at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Washington Street around 2:20 p.m.
The pool, part of the Melnea Cass Recreational Complex, was quickly evacuated.
Police have recovered evidence of at least five shots, one of which hit the Cass building.
