WCVB reports a woman in her 70s sitting on the front porch of 19 Olney St. in Dorchester was killed by a bullet meant for somebody else, around 6 p.m.

WBZ reports somebody sitting in a car on Olney Street was shot around 1:30 p.m. Because of the severity of the person's injuries, the homicide unit was summoned. The Herald reports the shooting was likely "gang related" and that the victim should survive.
