Attorney General still hasn't decided what to do about Boston City Hall emailgate

Five months after the Secretary of State's office concluded Menino aide Michael Kineavy "inappropriately" deleted e-mail, the state Attorney General's office continues to consider what to do about the matter.

"The investigation into the Kineavy email matter is ongoing at this time," spokeswoman Emily LaGrassa said today.

After Secretary of State Bill Galvin handed the matter over to AG Martha Coakley in October, Coakley said an investigation into how Kineavy deleted the e-mail could take some time as investigators poured through thousands of messages and conducted interviews.

Kineavy, who took a pre-election leave of absence over the issue, and city officials have said it was all a mistake.

I always got the feeling that the local powers that be just wanted this thing to go away. But the law's the law, whether you're a bigshot or not.
And even if the Globe and Herald don't care about this anymore, we remember it. Gotta do something, Ms. Coakley.

The Mayor is too busy closing libraries and figuring out how to turn the Filene's Hole into a tourist attraction to pay much attention to ethical matters within his administration.

AG Coakley is still too busy basking in the glory of her epic Senate campaign to mess with a few gazillion "accidentally" deleted e-mails.

How did Coakley get to where she is - long hair and breasts? This is what happens when women of little experience or intelligence get put into positions simply because they are women.

She should have acted on this a long time ago, but she has let it drag out. There seems to be a disconnect between her and reality. First example is during her campaign for Senate when she refused to go outside and shake hands like all of the other politicians. The next example is now. She is not fulfilling the responsibilities of the job she was elected to do.

This is why we need people of different parties in these offices to create a checks and balance. She won't do it - eventhough its her job - so we need to kick her out and appoint someone that will.

i believe coakley will lose her election for two things: failure to win a sure-thing political post and do her job on this current case.
