That was good of them to warn people off.
It's really easy to bring bedbugs into an apartment on used bedroom furniture or luggage. Then the bugs spread throughout the entire building, and are near impossible and then near impossible to get rid of.
Then the fool who carelessly brought the bugs in can be the first to break their lease.
