To each his own, I guess. I think they look great in person, and the interiors are amazing. The build quality is nothing short of spectacular.
Of course, I like my luxury cars to be boxy and tank-like. The old Lexus LS400 is a good example.
Sports sedans are another matter, though. Audi has surpassed BMW on that front, looks-wise.
It is all opinion, of course.

I know someone in Milton who drives a Rolls, so it just might be his. It got towed once and I gave him a ride to Pat's Towing in Somerville to get it back. Needless to say he was pretty happy to have it out of their hands and back into his.
He plays a tuba so I think part of the appeal of the Rolls is that it's one of the few "sedans" that can carry a tuba in the back seat :-)
