Certainly end "as we know it"
The real estate is for sale, they say.
But not "as I know it" because, alas, I never bothered to go. Always assumed it was only for the thugs and pols who run things in Boston.
Your Loss
I'm certainly not a thug or pol and I've spent many pleasant hours at Locke Ober. The staff (especially the bartenders) were wonderful, the food wasn't what I'd call a stand out but was certainly well prepared and the building was a neat little maze of private rooms and such. Oh, and the homemade potato chips at the bar were delicious. I'm sorry to see the place go.
