This is a step in the right direction. The situation in this neighborhood is reprehensible. Drug dealing and the associated activity that accompanies it is something that has to be dealt with on a permanent basis.
There has been police action in the past. Most recently after the murder of Barbara Tagean. After a while, the police went away and the junkies came back.
It seems to take a tragedy to get action taken on this stuff in the area. Let's hope that City Hall doesn't repeat their past actions.

Suboxone will not get an addict high. It merely will stave off withdrawal, while additionally blocking other opiates from actually getting him high. There is a reason this is the drug picked by the authorities to fight opiate addiction. And if an addict buys this drug on the street rather than a doctor, it has the exactly the same effect. They should be giving it away to addicts everywhere because each addict on suboxone means one less addict committing crimes to buy dope.
