Good thing modern office buildings have more than one elevator

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters had to send a rescue elevator up a shaft at 33 Arch St. to free a man from another elevator that stopped around 9:40 a.m. today.
The department reports the man was stuck between the second and third floors in a "blind" shaft - there were no doors on those floors for him to try to use to esape.
Brought adjacent elevator next to stuck one. Tech Rescue trained firefighters transferred person from one to other via roof hatches.

Me too!
Well, not this elevator, but some years back I spent several quality hours in an elevator at 60 State St before I got to see the inside of the elevator shaft and top of the cars. When they pried open the doors to "lock" the car in place we found a note scribbled on the wall indicating that this wasn't the first time this had happened.
What I found particularly amusing was they told us we were stuck on the 7th floor, and it turned out we were on the 17th. I'm not sure if they just didn't know, or if they thought we'd be less concerned falling from *only* the 7th floor!
It was an interesting experience, all things considered.

I once got stuck in the elevator at 470 Atlantic Ave / Independence Wharf. Pressed the alarm button, got static. Tried to call 911, no reception. Pried open the doors, turns out we were exactly on the third floor. Got out, took the stairs. Security guard wasn't at her desk when we got to the ground floor.
