Has Marty Walsh made a public appearance, sent out a statement, or done anything for the family?
Why?

Do we know what happened? Normally, there would have been some sort of statement made by the police if this was a random act of violence; sounds like in this case it was a targeted gang-related shooting. Robbery gone bad usually doesn't result in someone shot multiple times, execution style.
At least Mayor Walsh should make a statement

about renewing his commitment to curb violence in the City, especially going into the warmer months of the year. With everybody riding high on the "One Boston" and "Boston Strong" mantras in light of the recent firefighter tragedies and upcoming Boston Marathon anniversary what better time to profess that we truly are one City when it comes to also dealing with crime on the streets, be it shootings in Roxbury, stabbings in Dorchester or sexual assaults in the North End and Beacon Hill. Or is he going to take the last guy's approach and wait for another pretty young woman to be kidnapped and killed and then say, "Gee, I guess we have a problem!"?
