A building across from the Hyde Park police station that has never had any tenants since it was rebuilt in 2011 will finally be occupied - by a dentist's office.
Dr. Guimy Cesar, who currently has an office on Washington Street in Roslindale, got a building permit last week to adapt the empty shell of a building at 1250 Hyde Park Ave. into dental offices.
The building was formerly two adjoining buildings, one housing a Nigerian/Jamaican restaurant and bar that shut in 2011, the other one of the vanishing breed of Hyde Park local bars that shut even earlier.

..since Cleary is awash in sugary drinks and candy; a full storefront is always a good thing even if it is teeth-drillers.

But there ate already a couple of dentists right there.
Vanishing breed indeed.

Vanishing breed indeed. There's something about a bucket-of-blood bar across the street from a police station that seems very efficient. Sugary drinks and Ron's unrivaled ice cream should mean a vigorous trade for Dr. Guimy. (please tell me the good Doctor's name is pronounced "gummy".)
