Board votes for Pedro; approves his new Seaport restaurant

Pedro Alarcon, who runs an eponymous Latin-American restaurant in Watertown, got approval today to open a new La Casa de Pedro at 505 Congress St.
La Casa de Pedro will feature roughly 390 seats in a series of differently themed areas under one roof, including a ceviche bar and a small bar area called the Jeep Willys. A seasonal patio will seat 66.
Alarcon needed board approval both to serve food and to buy the liquor license from the now closed Sweetwater Cafe in the Boylston Place alley.
He will also seek a separate entertainment license for live musicians.

He'll make all of your
dreams come true..
La Casa de Pedro
So he plans on living there too?
From the title,
I thought this meant Pedro Martinez, and I thought WELL WHO WOULDN'T.
Great News!
On so many levels this is a good thing. Casa de Pedro is awesome, and it is great to see Mr. Alarcon succeed with expansion. I'm also quite pleased to see something that isn't a large chain make headway in the Seaport.
