Dog found roaming on side of -I-93 in Quincy is friendly, well cared for
By adamg on Thu, 11/05/2015 - 11:19am
Pierre Juilliard reports he was driving south on I-93 just past exit 8 around 4:45 this morning, when he spotted this bull terrier by the side of the road:
I was able to pull over about a quarter-mile up and coax him into the break down lane and eventually on the other side of the guard rail. Finally I was able to inch close enough to grab him. ...
No collar or tags, he's roughly 40-50lbs, seems to be a pure breed, male, not neutered, was extremely friendly with me once i got him in the car. Also seems to be well cared for.
Any clues? Juilliard says he's taking him to the vet to see if he might have a microchip.

So handsome!
I hope one way or another he finds his way to a good family and home! And kudos to his rescuer for caring enough to see to his safety.
You don't see too many bull terriors around
He is very handsome. Somebody will recognize this dog.
I doubt there will be trouble finding the owner.
Spuds
Likely one of Spuds MacKenzie's great-grandchildren. It's sad that his offspring have ended up on the streets.

Beer!
I would love to buy a six-pack for the wonderful gentleman who rescued this dog. I might even be willing to spring for a better brand.
Hopefully, he'll be micro
Hopefully, he'll be micro-chipped and get neutered. Sometimes that helps prevent male dogs from wandering to seek out other female dogs, I would think. I know that's the case with male cats seeking female cats. (??). Thank God he didn't get hit by a car.
It worked for my husband.
It worked for my husband.
Stolen Dog?
I wonder if the dog was stolen from someone's yard/house but the thieves decided they didn't want it after all and let the poor guy go somewhere. Such occurrences aren't uncommon.
Glad he's in good care now.
Was Don Cherry in town?
Perhaps Blue was frightened by his attire and fled.
Not Surprising
There are a few places along there where the highway is very accessible to the roadway, separated only by grassy patches.
My neighborhood is on the other side of that exit 8 sign. My son almost got onto 1-93 near here a few years ago, naked and covered in chocolate.
I don't recognize this dog, but wonder if it comes from the neighborhood over by the quarries one exit down. Lots of dog owners over there.
You can't just drop that into a coversation
Without a back story.
Seriously
We all deserve to know the backstory to jilliebean's comment.
Shut 'er down...
You won the internet today. Everyone can go home now. No need to internet for the rest of the day.
Sorry...
My son has autism, and went through a period of taking off his clothes all the time (thankfully past, now he's a teenager). He's also a bolter and really loves chocolate. I actually have a few stories involving him nude with chocolate.
And I-93 is just up the street, under a bridge, and across some grass from where we live.
