Fire officials blame smoker for four-alarm Dorchester fire

The Boston Fire Department reports investigators have determined the cause of a four-alarm fire at 247-249 Washington St. Friday night as "careless disposal of smoking material rear porch of 247."

The fire caused no injuries, but displaced 30 people.

That was a fast investigation. I haven't heard the findings from the investigation of 9 Porter St., JP yet from a couple weeks ago. Any news yet?
