Old Boston police cruisers never die

They just get put in a warehouse somewhere to be reused in movies and TV series about Charlestown criminals. Hood Will Hunting spotted these old cruisers at Bowdoin Square this morning, for use in filming a scene for "City on a Hill," a Showtime series that is about the pursuit of some Charlestown armored-car thieves, because it's co-produced by Damon and Affleck.

False
Not true. I’m one who knows.
Are those actual Boston
Are those actual Boston cruisers? Or cars that have been repainted just for the movie?
There is an "auto shop"
on Broadway in Arlington, northbound side, not far from the Mystic River crossing from Somerville. Their lot is full of interesting old cars and BPD cruisers of various vintages. They had (prob still have) an old Ford Econoline Van that I kept seeing until I finally called them to try and buy it. Nothing there is for sale, all their cars are TV/ movie props! I bet these came from that place.
Repainted
It's especially obvious because two of them are Mercury Grand Marquis, and I doubt the police were buying the upscale version of the LTD Crown Victoria in the 80s.
At least the car in the middle is realistic (an actual LTD Crown Vic).
I wonder
Do they just do decals to standard police cars of a particular era, so they can easily turn them into whatever city PD you want?
Finally
It's about time the Charlestown hoodlums get their forgotten stories told on the big(gish) screen
Will "City on a Hill" be a
Will "City on a Hill" be a Boston version of "Shameless"? The difference would be that Chicago actually has downtrodden, blue-collar neighborhoods.
