Ma Gen Law 265 18 B
Mandates a mandatory five year sentence for the possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. There is no justice in the halls of justice when the judge sentences him to three years probation. What good are strict gun laws if judges are allowed to make a mockery of them?
The courts interpret the law
And sometimes there are bad laws, or mitigating circumstances, blah blah blah. I don't know the specifics, but I'll disagree any day with the generalities of your comment.
