Ads on the T that promote New Hampshire skiing seem to be missing something.
absolutely made my day
I saw that the other day at North Station. Maybe they thought the "or die" part was too scary for tourism. Especially when it comes to skiing.
Oh hell no! They better not be changing their moto to just live free.
I mean, the Massachusetts state motto is Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem, but you sure as hell don't see that on tourism ads.
Our motto basically translates to "Leave us alone or we'll run you through with a sword."
It's a blue state now.
The advertisement and the website are all about things to do in NH and for outdoor tourism. I don't think the way of life motto "Life Free or Die" need apply here. If it were an advertisement about living in NH or historical tourism, I think that'd be a legit use of the phrase. I like this application on the great outdoors.
you must die - Slayer
Live Free or Die is still the 'official' state motto.
Live Free has been the tourism motto for a while now.
Jeez, did you guys let your subscription to Yankee Magazine lapse?
Yes we did.
don't come crying to me when they open up a cute, new boutique in Bar Harbor and you miss it!
It's a deal.
Next you're going to tell us "Eat Cheese or Die" is no longer the official motto of Wisconsin because they've shortened it to just "Eat Cheese."
Freedom is not free.
Living free (or freely) eventually leads to death.
You can have it all!
Living free and death!
It isn't an either/or situation!
