A driver crashed into the basement of 614 East 3rd St., near L Street, shortly before 7:15 p.m. The Boston Fire Department reports 17 people were evacuated from 614 and 616 East 3rd St., and that the driver was taken to a local hospital.

Early yesterday, a driver slammed into McGoo's at Broadway and Dorchester Street.

of your surroundings when outside dining. You wouldn’t have a chance with wood pallets painted white and a few Sam Adams umbrellas. I hope personal injury lawyers are keeping an eye on this.

This crash occurred about three blocks from the scene of the tragic death of a child back in July 2018.
The way people drive around this neighborhood is a cause for concern. Despite promises made to the community, not much has changed.

You mean cops paying attention to dangerous drivers in that area for a couple days and then going back to ignoring them didn’t solve the problems?!?

People should take more responsibility for their own safety. Yes, of course the driver is technically in the wrong, but putting buildings right where people obviously want to drive is just asking for trouble.

where there was single family house and putting in 29 units and where there once was empty lots more buildings. Then you have more cars with more idiots who never drive in the city.

Don't provide free public places for people to store their cars, and you'd suddenly discover that there can be a lot more people in an area without a lot more cars.

Impaired driving is, and has been, a significant issue in South Boston, and the police have made it pretty clear that they will not be enforcing it until something like this happens. Time for some pop-up checkpoints to put this in the back of people’s minds and hopefully cause them to think twice before driving drunk
