Today's oddball shortage: Ketchup

No ketchup

Every day, it seems like people look at the empty toilet-paper and chicken shelves at the Dedham Stop & Shop and go "Oh, no, what can I buy instead?!?" Today, the store was completely out of ketchup. Who knew ketchup was going to be in such high demand during an apocalypse?

The store was also completely out of frozen pizzas, except a few flatbread pizzas and "pizza" made out of cauliflower, which pretty much proves nobody wants that stuff.

but cauliflower crust pizza is amazing. Obviously, you would be rightfully confused if you ordered a normal cheese pizza and got a cauliflower crust, but you might be pleasantly surprised.

(I have only had homemade cauliflower crust pizza... not sure if the boxed kind is good)

Hey, if you think ketchup isn't essential when you're hunkered down, ask Mark Watney what that's like.

What's quicker to give your kids while they're home for 6 (or more, who knows) weeks; hence the dire need for ketchup.

Heinz of course...

Buy Hunt’s. And I hope Dijon mustard is still in stock.

I hope you grabbed those two bottles of Sweet Baby Ray’s.

You all are welcome to it. I just wish you’d left some frozen spinach for me.

Usually made with a big handful of pilfered ketchup packets from a fast food restaurant, but you mix that ketchup with hot water and baby, you got a soup going!

stores are just not restocking. each day there is less and less food. WHy is that

Obligatory Reagan USDA vegetable joke (here)

Oh my sweet lord. What fresh hell is going on here ?!??

:(

That picture should come with a trigger warning.

There's probably some facebook post claiming that ketchup cures COVID-19.
