Don't stand under a tree today
Carina Flynn, who captured the lucky miss above, reports she's never seen so many fallen trees in South Boston.
There wasn't much joy on Joy Street on Beacon Hill this morning:
Trees fell on both Storrow and Memorial Drives, blocking traffic.
No power on Reed Street in North Cambridge on account of this uprooted tree on Dudley. @universalhub pic.twitter.com/GaWKGZN1E5

Trees down all over West of Washington #Dorchester this a.m. Spencer St. is closed and several other streets have large trees down on the edges. Saw a poor car obliterated by downed tree on Centre St. #FortHill . Not sure the owner knew yet. What a night! @universalhub @DotNews

While conditions are easing across the system, significant impacts continue as a result of damaging winds, rain, & flooding. Our crews are working to resolve issues across the network but ongoing delays are occurring due to severe equipment damage, signal issues, & down trees. pic.twitter.com/YHmGfTzSa2

Credit where credit is due
The commuter rail train was almost on-time today, even though we never got above a moderate speed on the way in.
