Only in Boston: Customers of newly closed Dunk's don't have to go far to get their fix

Sign for remaining Dunk's in Back Bay station

Brendan Kearney didn't have time to shed a tear for the newly closed Dunk's at Back Bay station - because he just had to walk a few steps to the Dunk's still open on the other side of the station.

This one was good because you could just grab a coffee or maybe a donut, but the other one sells sandwiches, etc.....

And it was FAST - they could tear through a line of commuters in no time.

I think this one is closing so Jugo's can relocate there. Eastern Bank is taking the space of Jugo's since the garage/tower project is starting up soon.

I work in the neighborhood. Is the bank taking the old dry cleaner space?

You don't see the need for a Dunkin' Donuts right outside the Government Center T stop, which has a Dunkin' Donuts on the Green Line platform (although, granted, that was even more Boston back when the station looked like a bomb shelter and the exit was literally right across a brick path from the above-ground Dunk's, but let's not forget the third Dunkin' Donuts right around the corner).

If only you hadn't axed the Wicked Good Conference, we could refer to that thread about Dunkin Donuts locations from which one can see another Dunkin Donuts.

That sign is at least a few years old, and there was a time when this would only be open during that AM rush.

Ari O. posted about this back in December, and I believe you retweeted it then: https://twitter.com/ofsevit/status/1473450617603600392?s=61&t=GUZeK6R4Sm...

They are open. Obviously not all the time, but they were when I walked by.

They sign, though, is pure gold.
