Police say Red Line creeper lived up to stereotype: He tried to lure two girls with promise of candy and puppies

Transit Police report that around 6 p.m. on Sunday, two girls - 11 and 12 - were standing on the Red Line platform at North Quincy when, they told police:

An adult male, also positioned on the platform, yelled out encouraging the girls to come to him. Both girls ignored the male. At this time the adult male began to walk in their direction and stated, "Come here... I have candy and puppies". Both females became frightened and fled the platform area. The male did not pursue nor follow.

Police released a photo of a "person of interest" in the case. If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050.
