They're supposed to check for these things constantly with a device that is inserted to check the tolerances of the credit card machines hasn't changed.

Or maybe they were, which is how the skimmers were discovered? I can’t tell from the article whether the skimmers had been there for an hour or a month when they were discovered.

I hope the discovery and removal of the scanners costs the scammers more than they profited from them.
