Roche Bros. finds credit-card skimmers on self-serve checkouts at suburban stores

They're supposed to check for these things constantly with a device that is inserted to check the tolerances of the credit card machines hasn't changed.

Someone wasn't doing what they're supposed to.

Or maybe they were, which is how the skimmers were discovered? I can’t tell from the article whether the skimmers had been there for an hour or a month when they were discovered.
