Politico reports that the invitation for a Josh Kraft fundraising soiree at the UMass club downtown tonight invites you to help him "reimagine Boston" - apparently to make it look like downtown Manhattan.
But, hey, we hear New York is looking for a new mayor, too, and the Boston area has a history of sending guys to NYC to serve as their mayor.
One of the invite's signers is Rishi Shukla, who is a co-founder of the Downtown Boston Neighborhood Association (and who has been vocal criticizing the Wu administration's handling of crime downtown), so you'd think he'd have recognized a skyline featuring the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building does not exactly say "Boston."
The state Office of Campaign and Political Finance sent City Councilor Brian Worrell a stern letter about campaign fundraising and spending issues, including accepting three individual contributions above the $1,000 state's annual limit, a couple of $1,000 PAC contributions (the state only allows $500) and late reporting of new contributions and campaign expenses. And a lot of that reporting only came, the office reports, after repeated phone calls, e-mails and even old-fashioned printed letters.
The letter notes that Worrell "purged" $3,750 in excess contributions by giving that amount to the state and that he's hired a new campaign treasurer - whom the office put on notice that "further instances of non-compliance" could result in referral to the Attorney General's office.
Like the job UHub is doing? Consider a contribution. Thanks!

I don't see why he doesn't just buy a condo in NYC and go for it. He'd be better than the disgraced entitled narcissist Andrew Cuomo.

The rich only look out for the rich. ALWAYS And no, I don’t care about his volunteer work because only rich people can afford to be career philanthropists. Josh Kraft will only be the mayor for the rich (and people who hate bike lanes and think they are rich because they make $100k and live in West Rox)

Crap! So, it sounds like neither candidate will preserve the virtues of old historic Boston from the ravishes of developers.

I discovered when looking at the city logo he's using at the top (after removing the official city one that he had no business using) that it's just AI slop. AI has a really hard time spelling "Massachusetts" it seems.

Do you not read the news? Do you really think we need another clueless billionaire, or the son of a billionaire, taking over our city? He is looking to purchase the first rung to higher office. He has given $$$ to at least a half dozen of trumpenis loyalists. He will fuck us over, just like baker did with his undying support of Susan Kkkollins, who, by the way, Josh Kraft has also bankrolled. Billionaires don’t give a shit about you!
