The Riverside downtime was apparently scheduled. The downed wire on the B line at Kenmore, though? On the weekend that BU is graduating? Totally unplanned, natch. Totally chaotic as the T brought in buses for service between Copley and Kenmore - with extra bus service for B riders to Blandford. Take a look at the scene in Copley around 9 p.m.

Are they literally just swarming Dartmouth?
The T has been farked all day. Single-train C line, once every 30 minutes, packed to the gills. How scheduled service on the D line and a downed wire on the B line (as they reminded us ... every 4 bleeding minutes IN ROBOTICAL VOICE) managed to eff up the C line, I will never know.
And now this.
UGH.
Yay me

I get to use the T on Tuesday because the cheap pieces of (expletives) that run the downtown court won't spring for juror parking.
Why do we continue to fund this? Seriously, I don't give a (expletive) about the environment, buy everybody a car, give business tax breaks to let their people work at home, and be done with it.
you live in the environment

you live in the environment don't you? Really? I don't give a (expletive) about your crybaby act. You want taxpayers to "spring for juror parking." Get real Tulip.
It would have cost zero

if they had built a parking garage when they built the courthouse. Once again, I'm smarter than everybody else.

Reason #34453

This was reason #34453 that the MBTA has given to remind me why I own my scooter.
I was on Comm Ave around 7 PM when I heard the train at Babcock tell everyone on board that it was disabled and "not going anywhere any time soon"...no suggestion as to what the riders should do about it, though, from the driver.
I got the green light and drove off. When I got to Blandford, I could see transit cops directing traffic and lots of repair vehicles on the tracks just after the stop before the train gets fully underground.
About 10 minutes after I left my house, I was in the Fenway area. 10 minutes on the B Line would have gotten me halfway to Harvard Ave...
brings back memories

The T went down the day I graduated BU in 1989. No buses. Had to walk from Nickerson field to BU East to go from the big graduation to my department graduation. In my graduation gown and heels. Took the heels off eventually and was walking barefoot along Comm Ave. Oh the fun times.
