Long long lines
The line time to get a dog at Speed's was over an hour. You can drive over to Newmarket any day of the week and get one without waiting more than five minutes.
We got a Frosty then had to go over to Foodies for a sandwich before we starved.
I hope that the second annual truck vendor gettogether isn't underattended because this one was so crowded, a la Yogi Berra.
Just like NYC, but...
usually these kind of lines were restricted to Shake Shack, new dumpling carts or Nathan's on July 4. But a one-hour line for a hot-dog cart?! Seriously? I love me some Speed's and M&M, but I'm with the poster above... I'll visit them at their less popular locations with people who've seen and eaten a good hot dog before.
Long lines were long
Wow. It was packed. The ribs' truck was the only one without a line and it was b/c they were out of ribs ... and most of the other places were running short.
We made the rounds, then went across the street to eat at Bostonian Market. They used to be on Tremont but moved down to Harrison a couple years ago. They still remember us. They were doing a great business with walk-ins from the SoWa Market and people with their shirts off.
maybe they should have it on
maybe they should have it on the RKG next year ;)
Not just grillin'; here's Menino chillin' - with a pickle
