Daniel, the Globe's transportation reporter, has been appointed communications director at the turnpike authority. What that also means: Now, instead of asking the tough questions about Big Dig ceiling collapses or turnpike toll increases, he'll have to answer them.

Wait...so, in Globe-land, accepting any piece of swag that costs over $5 is unethical, but blowing Joe Pesaturo for years and then taking a flack job at the MTA is fair play?

I am unsure whether to shit myself in fury or be delighted not to have to read his treacly dreck in the Globe anymore. Either way, Goddamn it, I quit my Boston media job on Friday. The hell with you, Mac, you made me care on vacation.
