State Police: Adults at Wollaston Beach also caused trouble this weekend

State Police said today unruly teens at Carson Beach were not their only problem over Memorial Day weekend. Around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, State Police say in a statement:
Troopers responded to Marina Bay, Squantum Point Park and Wollaston Beach and helped move out more than 300 vehicles from DCR property after bar closures at Marina Bay. Troopers assisted Quincy Police with multiple fights and assaults. Troopers removed several large groups from Wollaston Beach.
In the same statement, State Police recounted three days of problems at Carson Beach and vowed increased patrols there starting right this second:
- On Friday, State and local police cleared roughly 700 young people from Carson Beach, the JFK/UMass T stop and Savin Hill "after numerous fights broke out between rival gangs." One arrest made.
- On Saturday, "several hundred youths were moved from Carson Beach without incident after closing."
- On Sunday, more than 1,000 youths got out of hand, including one guy who attacked a trooper, then fled, clutching his waistband as he melted into the crowd, "consistent with how someone would run if concealing a firearm."
- On Sunday, troopers removed several hundred youths from Castle Island at closing time.
- On Monday, around 1:30 a.m., troopers had to remove about 200 youths from Castle Island.
- On Monday, around 5:30 p.m., well, you know. Also, "Troopers and Boston Officers also responded to Playstead Park and Malibu Beach after more than 300 youths who had boarded the T at the JFK Station got off the Savin Hill T stop. One arrest was made in that area. At approximately 11:30 p.m., a group of more than 100 youths were removed from Pleasure Bay, with three arrested. Several large groups were removed also from Wollaston Beach."

Thats real good.
Close the bars, tell people to go home, then tow their cars when they're gone.
Wonder whats gonna happen the next time.
State Troopers vs. Boston Cops
The parks where the kids are congregating are under state jurisdiction, but Boston police have a better sense of how to deal with gangs, and teenagers. Troopers just patrol the roads and parks. Gangs and crime prevention are not part of their brief.
I am curious how these parks became magnets for kids, as opposed to other beaches. I am sure the teens are from all over, not just Boston.
