Dukakis on the T

Oh, I think everyone who rides the D Line has seen him at least once. He's definitely a T regular.

Michael Dukakis will always get points in my book for strongly advocating for car alternatives, and practicing what he preaches.

While I have never seen him on the Green Line, I always seem to see him in Kenmore Square, he loves hanging locally.

Wouldn't it be nice to see Mumbles and his cronies use the T instead of the city's fancy fleet of SUVs?

Mumbles and his cronies are so worried about the Italian earthquake victims that they're going to go there to help out.

Mumbles for one is a "2seata" his girth would take up to many available seats.
Second he has a serious issue with balance which would most likely result in train delays due to a medical issue.

Who actually believed enough in public transportation to take it to work regularly, instead of using it for a quick headline?

Doesn't he walk around Brookline picking up random trash?

Yep, saw him over a decade ago walking around Longwood area picking up cigarette butts.

I see him at the gym sometimes - the guy has way more stamina than I do, and I must be almost half his age. Good for him for keepin' on with the T.

and by all accounts a beloved professor (at NU).

But I'm reminded of his early gubernatorial days, when the left on Beacon Hill - among them Barney Frank - was upset at Dukakis. In response to a question about the Duke's commuting habits, Frank snapped: I don't mind that he takes the T to work, I mind that he gets off at the State House.
