That's going to leave a mark!
What a shame. His column was one of the few
remaining reasons to pick up the Globe.
Another adult leaves the building. Brace yourself
for more cheese makers and garlic scapes.
And how was today's noon time chat with the resident
Psychic? Anybody attend?
Ouch
Let's see - continue at the Globe and be sent off to write about inane lifestyle stuff in sections of the paper where it doesn't belong ...
OR ...
Move to a major global megacity and get paid a heck of a lot more to take a more global view for a very highly regarded global news organization.
I wish him all the best and I'll set my google news feed to pick up his work at Bloomberg.

Last of the best
Seth Gitell reacts and recounts:
The Boulevard
Please, please God, spare Peter Hotton.
Don't Worry
They don't want Hotton to leave, since his pension is likely more than what they want to pay him at this point.
My husband grew up next door, and husband ain't young himself.
How can I get that troll out of my basement?
Actually he already took a buyout, I think the first one offered.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes
Maybe you can find an "underbridge" style trap? Bait it with some noisy kids or pesky neighborhood off-leash pets and you'll do fine!
Why Bailey's departure matters
Joe Keohane explains why Bailey was so important to readers:
Finneran's show loses too
Baily was easily the most intellignet voice on Finneran's morning show.
