Globe loses one of its best columnists

Steve Bailey is moving to London to work for Bloomberg. Adam Reilly has the scoop on the departure of Bailey and two other behind-the-scenes editors.

What a shame. His column was one of the few
remaining reasons to pick up the Globe.
Another adult leaves the building. Brace yourself
for more cheese makers and garlic scapes.

Let's see - continue at the Globe and be sent off to write about inane lifestyle stuff in sections of the paper where it doesn't belong ...

OR ...

Move to a major global megacity and get paid a heck of a lot more to take a more global view for a very highly regarded global news organization.

I wish him all the best and I'll set my google news feed to pick up his work at Bloomberg.

I'll definitely miss reading Bailey's work in the Globe, but he's on to bigger (and better) things at Bloomberg. Good for him!

They don't want Hotton to leave, since his pension is likely more than what they want to pay him at this point.
