Man shot to death in South Boston

Updated Thursday morning.
Boston Police report a man was found shot around 7:55 p.m. at W. 5 and Dorchester streets. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police found shell casings outside 235 W. 5, about a block away.
Because of the investigation, traffic was not allowed down the street and residents were not allowed out of their homes.

Sorry buddy but Dorchester Ave runs parrell to Sixth in this area. Dorchester Street runs up from Andrew Square to intersect with Broadway at Perkins Square crossing over and ending at First Street. Dot Ave actually crosses Dorchester Street as it runs by. If you are native then learn your streets, if you are not well that explains it.

My guess is both the perp and the victim of these shootings live at the projects at 8th and Dot, or D st. Back in the day, I seem to recall, most of the shootings and teeth extractions were done in basements.
southie has never been known
southie has never been known for shootings lets be real here. check the homicide maps for the last decade and southie barely has any. they get 1-3 a year at most and have had years with no murders. its pretty soft nowadays
