Another alleged T upskirter arrested, this time for videoing on an escalator

Transit Police report arresting a Dorchester man on charges he got right behind a woman in a skirt on an escalator going up at the Downtown Crossing T stop, pointed his phone under her skirt and began videoing.

Police say they know this because another woman, behind Anwar Jaffar, 33, watched the whole thing around 9:10 a.m. yesterday and promptly reported the incident to them.

The witness noticed a distinct light of the cell phone was illuminated and she could clearly see the victim's image displayed on Jaffar's screen. Upon disembarking the escalator Jaffar put his phone away and continued to follow closely behind the victim. As the victim began walking up the stairs to exit the station Jaffar again took his phone out and began to video tape the victim as she proceeded up the stairs.

Jaffar is scheduled for arraignment on a charge of upskirting today in Boston Municipal Court.
