We're going to need a bigger boat!
At one time cruise liners were designed to look sleek, eloquent and beautiful, these modern cruise ships look like barges.
$
I think they try and squeeze as many cabins onboard as possible, looks be damned.
Hotel on a barge
Seems to me they basically are styleless hotels - as big a box of a building as possible - set on a barge.
Any idea where this ship is going?
Is it a trans-Atlantic liner?
New England and Nova Scotia
The ship goes to Halifax, St. John, Bar Harbor, Portland and back to Boston.
According to Royal Caribbean's site
This ship is going to Canada and Maine.
McCorkle Fishing Pier
Not the Black Falcon Pier. This is off Castle Island and is named after a Boston Fire lieutenant who was killed in the line of duty on October 1st, 1964.
You're right
I was thinking where the ship was berthed. Changed the post to reflect where it actually was when the photo was taken.
Second ship was in port
There was a second ship at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal today. It said Carnival Splendor on the side but the Carnival site doesn't show that ship going out of Boston on a regular basis.
Hm.
Here's a video of it passing
Taken just after I took the still above. She had a lot to say on her way out.
Is there a way to watch the
Is there a way to watch the video other than through Telly? My first generation iPad won't run that app.....!
Beats me
I tweeted it in haste this morning during my run from the shower to the bus. It's posted on my Instagram in the correct position.
It's not an app, it's just HTML
works fine on my ancient MacBook running Snow Leopard and Google Chrome
My haste extended to reading that :-/
For some reason I thought their question had something to do with the video's orientation. I thought that it may have posted sideways...
aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
turn the damn camera the right way!! my eyes!!!!
Im right behind the boat
Going past on a much smaller boat. It was a beautiful day. Probably one of the last nice boating days of the season.
There is also a police boat on the opposite side making sure nobody gets too close.
